National Apprenticeship Week 2013

The annual National Apprenticeship Week aims to raise the profile of Apprenticeships, highlighting the talents and skills of apprentices, the range of Apprenticeships available and the benefits of employing and supporting apprentices in the workplace.

As part of apprenticeship week Calderdale College has organised a number of activities including:

  • A new apprenticeship websitewill be launched at Calderdale College
  • An apprenticeship open eveningon Tuesday 12th March to provide advice and guidance for anyone interested in an apprenticeship
  • All current apprentices willreceive a Calderdale Training Hoodie – look out for them around Calderdale
  • An apprentice will provide ‘Aday in the Life of an Apprentice’ tweets for Calderdale Training’s twitter feed

Apprenticeship Week, organised by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) aims to celebrate the talents and skills of apprentices and to promote the value of apprenticeships as an entry route to a successful career. It also recommends apprenticeships to employers as an ideal way to help businesses to secure a supply of people with the skills and qualities they need and which are often not available on the external job market.
